During the winter of 2020, Amsterdam was in a lockdown due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. The museums and galleries were closed for months, making physical art events impossible and unsafe. The Graare is a digital initiative that aims to transform and virtualize design, adapting it to the new context.
AR, Exhibition, Identity Design
The Graare aims to create new forms of viewing and sharing art + design. Accelerated growth and popularisation of the technologies such as augmented and virtual reality invoke us to explore the future horizons of creative expression. The Graare launched an Open Call for graphic designers, selecting 21 people to be a part of the first edition of the exhibition. Their works were transformed into AR objects and exhibited in the Museumplein.
